Plot Heads Productions is an independent film and media company based in Egypt with a global outlook. We develop and produce feature films, short films, and TV series, while offering tailored services in branded content, TV commercials, PR, marketing, and cinematic-arts training—including internationally recognized filmmaking programs and workshops.
Founded by Egyptian-American producer Miral Ezzat El-Fakharany, Plot Heads champions diverse, socially impactful stories and nurtures emerging talent from the MENA region and beyond. Our projects bridge Eastern and Western perspectives, proving that artistic integrity and financial success can thrive together in today’s creative ecosystem.
Beyond production, Plot Heads provides networking, communication, and outreach solutions; consortium building; and consulting for cinematic-arts education. We are dedicated to supporting independent filmmakers and promoting diversity across the film industry, empowering a community of artists who embody innovation, originality, and a strong independent spirit.
Miral Ezzat El-Fakharany is an Egyptian-American producer with over 18 years of experience in film, TV, and commercials across MENA, GCC, and the USA. She holds a Master’s in Global Strategic Communications from Florida International University and began her career in multinational advertising, working with brands like Samsung and Ford before shifting to film and television, focusing on socially impactful storytelling. Her feature Snow White won awards from UNFPA and UN Women, was selected for the RAWI Screenwriters Lab (Sundance x Royal Film Commission Jordan), and premiered at the 2025 Red Sea International Film Festival. Her latest TV project, Dahab Ghaly, a Syrian drama filmed in Lebanon, has been acquired by Amazon Prime Video for an exclusive 2024 release. A 2025 RLNS Creative Producer Indaba fellow, she is currently producing Fallen Angel, written and directed by Ebada Naguib, with its screenplay developed through the Atlas Workshop at the Marrakech Film Festival and the Rotterdam International Film Festival. Splitting her time between Egypt and Los Angeles, Miral bridges Eastern and Western storytelling perspectives, fostering emerging talent and bringing diverse narratives to global audiences.
Ebada Naguib is an Egyptian writer and director with two decades of experience, recognized for her multidisciplinary storytelling approach. She has worked across both commercial and independent cinema and television, taking on roles as a director, writer, producer, showrunner, and consultant. Her expertise covers all stages of film production, enriched by a background in philosophy, psychoanalysis, and visual theory. As a scriptwriting instructor at private workshops and the Jesuit Film School, she specializes in Joseph Campbell’s mythological theory and Carl Jung’s psychological framework.Recently, she gained critical acclaim for her debut TV series Berry Leaves and is currently developing her next series, which she will both write and direct. She is also in pre- production for her short film Nafha, serving as writer and director, while actively developing her first feature film, Fallen Angel. The project has been selected for the RLNS Institute’s 4th edition of the Creative Producer Indaba, as well as the Atlas Workshop at the Marrakech Film Festival and the Rotterdam International Film Festival.
